I think there are some number of laptop users who will find that the 3G iPad will do everything they need. My mother-in-law has a MacBook and an aircard now. She basically plays games, reads email and surfs the internet. I am guessing that at some point she won't be bothering to fire up the MacBook

I got one notice at 12:39 pm and another notice (for my second pre-order) at 4:42pm. After the first notice was received I kept checking and checking for the other notice and had begun to believe the other shipment might be a day later. But happily they both say that delivery will be by 4:30pm...

Got two shipping notices today (I have more than 1 pre-ordered). Will have them by 4:30 pm tomorrow!:) Someone WILL be home at all times. Failure is not an option!

Ordered 1 on 4/08 and another 2 on 4/14 (different card and apple id); cc charges on all showing "pending" as of today.

Happy happy Joy joy! My credit card says that my iPad 3G purchase (4/08) is "pending", hence its starting to happen!

I got an email, too, confirming "late April" for a shipment of two 3G iPads.
