    Transfer ebooks to iPad

If you use Calibre it's easy to convert and transfer books to your iPad, especially if you use the reader app Marvin--the best reader app for iPad! Even if you don't use calibre it's easy to get books into Marvin with dropbox or other methods (open in, etc.) They just have to be in EPUB format.

    sugar sync vs. dropbox

Why choose one or the other? I use both for different things, along with Copy and Box. One thing I like about SugarSync is that you can add things to it without moving them on your computer. In other words, Dropbox can only be one folder (with subfolders); Sugarsync can include any folders...

Strange happenings restoring onto an iPad Air from an iPad 3

Unless you have really poor Internet speed. Then, iTunes is the better way to go. Apple needs to up the cloud storage to 5 GB per device. Once you start backing up two or more devices, 5 GB just is not enough.

Going to buy a iPad 4 or Air tomorrow, help me choose which?

I bought some on eBay. 2 for $6.50. They work fine for sync and charge, but they don't do audio or video. I only wanted them for charging and sync so I don't have to carry/have 2 different cables around, since my iPhone is the 4s. I also bought some 6 ft. lightning cables two for six dollars. 3...

I bought Apple Care for the first time for the Air....

It had a Native Union Gripster case on the back, and a screen protector and Smart Cover on the front. It fell about 2.5 feet onto vinyl flooring, hitting the floor at the lower right corner. (Even thought the Gripster did not keep it from breaking, I still will buy this case again if it comes...

I bought Apple Care for the first time for the Air....

I was being incredibly careful trying not to bump my iPad 3 with my arm one time, and ended up bumping the table with my hip, knocking the iPad to the floor and cracking the screen. So, you can be careful and take care of your things, but accidents still happen. This is why I bought insurance...

Need you advice for Ipad to NAS transfers

FileBrowser, a $5 app, is great for sending to and from any shared folders on your home network with no helper apps required on the computers. I use it all the time for getting things from and sending them to my desktop and home server PCs.

    Amazing battery life

Here is Apple's advice: http://www.apple.com/batteries/ipad.html I have always topped off the charge whenever it is convenient, and do a complete discharge/recharge cycle once per month. I have a reminder so I don't forget.

How to transfer photos from iPhone to iPad

Oh, yeah. Forgot about that since it never once worked for me. Would sure be handy if it did.

How to transfer photos from iPhone to iPad

You would choose share to iCloud and choose yourself to share to.

I bought Apple Care for the first time for the Air....

Oh, good. Thanks for setting me straight. Apple's $50 service fee on accidental replacements is still a deal breaker for me. Since I don't live close to an Apple Store, the SquareTrade service (if needed) should not be any more or less convenient, for me. I just think people should know there...

How to transfer photos from iPhone to iPad

FYI - last time I checked, the Bump app did not transfer photos at full resolution. The iPhoto app has device to device transfer and you get it free with a new 2013 model iDevice. Photostream will work but it goes up to the cloud so you need a fast connection for a lot of photos. Same with...

I bought Apple Care for the first time for the Air....

With Apple Care the accidental protection does not kick in until the second year and there is a $50 incident charge. So I went with a SquareTrade warranty with no deductible. It was a few bucks cheaper than Apple Care and can be extended to 3 years after the 2 if I want to. Also the protection...

    Ipad air case

I know, right? I did the same thing. But didn't order until it was $5 plus shipping. I noticed today it is up to $15 but qualifies for prime. Mine just shipped today. Glad to hear you found it better than expected. This Smart Cover is sure not secure, but it beats nothing, so I am glad I've had...

    Tempered/Ballistic Glass screen protectors

Sheesh, for that kind of money you might as well buy an accidental protection policy and go naked screen. Plus a screen protector won't help if you drop it just right, as I know from experience.
