    Traveling with the Ipad

Last year, I travelled with my Canadian iPad to the US. I bought the sim and prepaid Visa, but i wasn't travelling with my laptop. When I inserted the sim and tried to activate nothing happened, since you needed to have the carrier information downloaded in iTunes. In some of the postings here...

Canadian (Rogers) iPad 3G travelling to UK

I tried to do the same thing with my Bell iPad 3G. I went to a number of carriers and eventually got a free SIM from O2 so that I could sign up online (the other carriers I visited wanted me to sign up at the shop, but wouldn't accept my Canadian credit card. The O2 guy said I could buy a...

iOS v4.2 Update Begins to Roll Out

Got mine too ... 4.2.1. Mutiltasking works and the new mutil-account email inbox is nice. Too bad my printer won't work with Airprint - only 10 HP printers are supported.

    Why iTunes on your PC?

Also, sometimes you HAVE to connect to itunes for something to work. For instance, if you have a 3G model and want to use a wireless carrier, after you insert the sim, you need to sync on itunes to get the carrier software. Operating system upgrades are also delivered through itunes.

    A-GPS without Sim Card !

I used GPS-X in the UK recently, with the SIM card removed from a Canadian bought iPad and it worked fine. I did notice that you can't be in airplane mode for the GPS to work.

With the iPad connected to itunes, navigate to iPad > Movies 4. Click the checkbox next to the movie you just added back to itunes 5...

I have also been experiencing this. At first, I thought it was something to do with the conversion. Yesterday, I deleted a few movies from itunes, and once i synced the ipad, other movies still there also disappeared from the ipad. Not sure what it going on.

    Sony Cyber-Shot & Camera Adapter

Actually, getting them onto the PC or mac from the iPad is easy. Once you connect the iPad to the PC, the PC thinks it is a camera, and allows you to import from the iPad. The only pics that can be transferred are those that you loaded from a camera of an SD card

    O2&iPad

If you get an O2 SIM, can you just put it in the iPad and have it self configure (like the Bell or AT&T sims) or do you have to sync with itunes? I was planning on just travelling with the ipad, so syncing would be a problem.

Advice for visiting UK with iPad

I will be traveling to the UK in about a month, and was planning on just bringing my iPad instead of my laptop. It's a 3GS device, so I think I can get a SIM from one of the carriers there. Since I will only be there a few weeks, i was looking for advice on which carrier would be best. I just...

    Hello

Hi everyone, I have a 64GB 3GS iPad and I love it. It's the best piece of technology I have bought in a long time. It works really well as a "photography assistant" when traveling, for storing, editing and posting pictures. This forum looks like it is great resource for us.
