Just thought I'd revive this thread to gloat a bit. Now that apple uses magnets in their official accessories, I think a few people owe some appologies. If I incorrectly spread misinformation about one of your inventions I would appologise once I realized my mistake.
A. No one was defending uploading roms to the internet. That is a clever straw man arguement though. I was defending the legality of roms and emulators in general. The original poster went out of their way to state that all roms and emulators are illegal which is false. Some roms may be...
I'd revisit the zoogue case if I were you. We have similar taste and I've been happiest with my zoogue. I've had 4 cases, one of which I designed myself, and the zoogue is the most versatile and used out of the bunch, at least until I finish tweaking my magnetic mounts...
I've had it on my iPad since I made them with no adverse effects. I dont see why people continue to question whether or not they will mess up the iPad in the face of continuing evidence to the contrary. THE MAGNETS HAVE NO ADVERSE EFFECT WHATSOEVER. Ipads do not have hard drives they have...
I just started the kickstarter fund The Ultimate iPad/Android Arcade Machine by Justin Hubbard — Kickstarter. I'm going to be offering quite a few cool little gizmos and gadgets for smaller contributions. Larger contributions will net you an arcade machine of your very own.=--
I would be interested in getting some of those killer cases. Where was the magnet located on the case? Was it on a flap covering the ipad. If that was the case then it could be the motion of opening and closing the case that was causing your issues. Or the motion of sliding your ipad into the...
1.The iPad uses flash memory. Flash memory is not susceptible to magnetic interference. Hard drives are but the ipad doesn't use those. Neither are lcds. you only get the rainbow effect on CRT screens because that type of tv uses magnets to aim the ray guns.
2. It is over the corners where...
The magnets are over the edges of the iPad. if you look at take apart videos of the iPad you'll see that there are no electronics under the black rim but the headphone and power jack. i've had them on for two days now without issue.
This was exactly why I created the video. Conductive foam works but is not the best solution, unless you tinker with a lot of electronics you aren't likely to have it laying around and it is not cheap to source. Wire glue on the other hand can be had for 3$ plus shipping. One container will...
This is my latest creation. iPad refrigerator mounts. These were printed on a 3d printer and had 4 .25 inch diameter neodymium magnets attached to each. Protects your iPad from drops and spills as well as allowing you to attach it to any magnetic flat metal surface. You can download the Stl...
I would not attempt to upgrade directly from a jb iPad. it's a possibility that it could brick it. instead if you must upgrade, back up your iPad, restore it to default using iTunes, upgrade that, and possibly apply a new jailbreak (one for the os version you are now running.)
