Thanks Leelai. I did everything you said, even a reset. Though the problem wasn't fixed, the iPad is a lot faster and smoother.

Before I installed IOS 5.00 on my iPad2, I could get back to the top of a newspaper I was reading by tapping the status bar. Not only that after I read an article and pressed the back button, I would get back to that place in the newspaper headlines. With IOS 5, neither happens. Any clues as...
