Tried the long press and you are right, the PDF opens. But there is no way to save it. What are goodreader or iBooks?

I have access to gmail on my ipad 2. I just sent a pdf file via gmail. The email shows up with the pdf attached. How can I save the attached pdf file to the ipad 2 so that it reads the file locally instead of having to download it again in order to open it.?
