How do you download iOS 4.2?

I seem to be rather dense about how to download iOS 4.2. I plugged the cable between my iPAD and my MacBook Pro and the iTunes icon on my MBP started bouncing. So, I clicked it and it started sync'ing my iPAD with my MBP and when that was done, that was the end of it; nothing else happened...

    App Download Problem

I recently selected an app to download and two came down. My selected one downloaded just fine. The other unknown app constantly shows in a "waiting" state. The app is all white in appearance with no lettering. I have tried deleting it but the system won't allow it. Plus, when opening the...

    How do you access addressee's?

After a little playing around, your explanations or suggestions are starting to sink in and make sense but I still have the problem. Once I select an entry from the pop-up, it just adds it to the To: prompt. Once in the To: prompt field, I can click on the addressee. However, it merely pops up...

    How do you access addressee's?

Purpleorchid, the iPad does not automatically select a name for me. Here's what I did: 1) I started a memo and typed O 2) the iPad showed me 3 entries: Owen C. Winkler owink@bex.net (good entry) Owen Winkler ggildeme@gmail.com (bad entry) <no name>...

    How do you access addressee's?

Purpleorchid, how do you get to your email cache? When I start a memo and specify a character for the "To:" prompt, a pop up occurs giving me one or more addresses to "select" from. Clicking on one doesn't take you into edit mode but rather cause a "selection".

    How do you access addressee's?

Jake, I'm inclined to agree with you about the cache. I have looked just about everywhere on my iPad for the non-entered contacts to no avail. I guess I 'll have to live with it. It is only a small nuisance. THANKS, for trying to help me through my problem.

    How do you access addressee's?

Jake, I did check my email server which is google mail. They are not there. Btw, I don't have any contacts set up in google mail either. And just for the heck of it, I went to my MacBook Pro and signed into Google mail and proceeded to initiate a new email. For the "To:" prompt, I typed in a...

    How do you access addressee's?

As of yet, I have not built entries in the standard "contacts" app. However, I have been receiving and sending emails on my iPad. I have noticed that the addressee's are saved somewhere (but not in contacts) because when I begin typing in the "To" prompt it pops up a set of addressee's that...

Hello from the Green Mountains of Vermont

I'm thrill in finding this website. I'm a relatively new purchaser of the iPAD and am fascinated by it. A few years ago after owning Windows based computers which seemed to be attacked all the time. I decided to switch to Apple based. I bought a new MacBook Pro and have never regretted my...
