Just finished the update to Apple TV, did not solve the problem!

Update on the AirPlay problem. Have Apple TV open on the TV with all the movie and TV shows, etc options showing. When I go to AirPay on my IPad and turn on mirroring the TV screen goes blank, turning off mirrowing brings Apple TV back to the TV screen. Does it every time turning mirrowing on...

Thanks, found mirroring as suggested, clicked on it but will not send the iPad screen pic to the TV. Pick up wife's IPod Touch and it works fine. Checked the wifi on both the iPad and Apple TV and both are the same. Everything worked before upgrading IOS.

Just updated to IOS 8.1.2 in hopes of resolving some issues but now AirPlay no longer works. When I tap Airplay, mirroring no longer comes up, just AirPlay. Tried Airplay with my wife's new IPod Touch and it works just fine, AirPlay and mirroring show and sends the pic to the TV as it should...
