Way past my warranty but I spoke with the fellow at the tech shop that does my sisters work for her and he said the exact thing...that he thought it my be a problem with the port...so i'm hoping this isn't going to cost too much

thanks for the quick reply....the screen is black...can't get into it to adjust the settings by doing a hard start the icon comes up that directs you to an itunes restore...and of course...half way through the process...the darned thing disconnects Maybe this thread will help...
