Here's how I got it to work, went to "passcode lock" (which was ON), entered passcode and new menu came up and had to toggle on "immediately", powered down unit, powered up and it seems to be working OK now.

I use a Cradlepoint PHS300 and it works OK but it sure would be nice if you could use something like a camera adapter and just plug in the USB wireless adapter directly.

That's one thing I liked about Android Market, you could try app for up to 15 minutes and if you didn't like it get full refund automatically.

thanks for the information..so all of the iPad 1's with 3G are only AT&T and if you use Verizon you are really using WiFi with the MiFi box connected to Verizon. Sounds like a pain in the as* carrying two devices around with you.

If I buy a iPad 1 WiFi / 3G do I have to specify either Verizon or ATT, or will same unit work with both carriers.

I don't get the network error like you got, just opens GE like normal but the kml file doesn't show up on GE...strange
