do you have a backup from before you started playing with the settings? you could try a restore, this is the first thing apple tell you to do.

i would of thought swapping the glass means it had smashed ie been dropped. Not covered by normal apple warranty. Are any of the corners bent? if so try gently bending them back, you cound use a fine file to take off any sharp edges.

sorry i forgot about the bezel. have you damaged the bezel(the black plastic ring)? if not leave it in place. if you have damaged it getting the screen out, you can getna new one fom ebay etc. it lifts out quite easy.

re the lcd. If you dislodge the lcd screen cable whilst the ipad is powered up, it will not come back on till you reboot the ipad. re the power button I think you have clipped the Power Button/Volume Button flex cable when getting the broken screen off, have a look at the ribbon on the right...

skygo partly works, it s just the anytime that does not. have just checked my ipad.

You could try a new touch screen(digitizer). Quite cheap on eBay, and loads of guides around to do it.

I think you have clipped the Power Button/Volume Button flex cable when getting the broken screen off, perhaps the pressure on sticking down has moved the cable. Unfortunately I think you are going to have to open it again.

Try changing the cable from the charger to the USB. I had a similar problem, and changing my cable helped.
