    Spot on about Apple's abandonment of responsibility to loyal purchasers of what they consider "old" versions. A bit of help from them would produce a lot of goodwill. This upgrade smacks of 'planned obsolescence' and I will think very carefully about getting another iPad when I can afford...

    Thanks Marilyn I have always updated OTA as I don't have access to a computer, but didn't have any problems like this in the past. Another poster has recommended resetting by simultaneously pressing home and power button until the Apple sign comes up, I might try that first, but thanks for this.
