Hi Folks,

I've just replace the digitizer on my Ipad2, and during testing have noticed that it's now not charging.

During the screen replacement, I also changed the power button/ volume/ mute cable and the wifi antenna.

I'm pretty sure that it's not the charger, the cable is recognized when inserted (the lightning symbol appears) and it charges other apple devices we have ok.

I've changed the charge port (recommended by someone on another forum) but this hasn't resolved the issue.

I'm now at a loss.

Any pointers/ advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Angelo

Your iPad's software recognizes whether or not it's connected to a power source and should start charging. If the software crashed, it will not start charging.
Try resetting your iPad:
Press and hold Home and Power button until the Apple logo appears. Let go of both. The iPad will power up on it's own.
This kind of reset won't remove data or change settings.

If the reset doesn't work try a system restore through itunes. It is also possible that the charging chip was damaged during the original repair. That would require a board level repair expert.
