    Applications need to have the video output enabled in their code. If the developer doesn't want the content to go to the external display then it won't.

    However, if you want to jailbreak there are tweaks available, such as "DisplayOut" which will enable the video out for all apps. Another great reason to jailbreak. Have a look in our hacking section for more info, in particular the sticky posts which have all the details on the subject you may need.
