So do I! Mines quite close to my house......it's the base you have to worry about with these plants as they get huge. They will bust any pot you put them in also! Here's mine.....not flowering though and nowhere near as big! Would just hate to have to dig it out though, hubby will just want to kill it :O <img src="http://www.ipadforums.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=54067"/>

My gosh that base is just huge on that tree. I can see how it wouldn't survive in a pot, it needs it's room to grow. Hopefully it doesn't grow to much more, because it's really close to the side of your house!

I actually have 3 of these plants around the garden, this one is the largest, but all came from 6 inch pots around 20 years ago. Don't know how old JA's specimen is but I'm hoping it's very very old! ;)

That's not too bad than if you've had the 3 for 20 years. We had two pine trees which we planted with ample space between...in a matter of 7 years, they were touching each other! Some things just grow so fast.

These plants are slow growers, which I'm so glad about now!

You must have just the right conditions for your pines to grow so fast! It's hard knowing just how fast a plant grows when you take it from it's normal environment, I've found that out many times and have had to dig them out! :(

Loved those nanosecond photos Johanna, especially that elephant's smile of sheer enjoyment.

I like them all, but the elephant photo really is outstanding.
