I have used xBackup to backup all the stuff from Cydia.
When it was done I rebooted my iPad2 and now it only boots in safe mode, which of course not so weird.
xBackup probably installed a program which is not compatible with iOS 5.0.1 yet.

Is there a way to find out which program that is?

Hmm. Is there a way to remove everything installed by Cydia?

you can open cydia when you are in safe mode, then remove one by one and see if you can fiend the problem, you have to respiring or restart every time that you remove one cydia app

Put your iPad in DFU mode and restore it to 5.0.1.
Then do the jailbreak again, and this time: no backuping with xBackup! :p

I shouldn't use any backup program if I were you. There are a lot of tweak not compatible with iOS 5 yet.
Restoring those tweak will make your iPad 2 end up the same as it did with xBackup.
Just first make sure which tweaks are ok, and install these one by one.

That's the only way now I guess...

Yep, I'm in the exact same boat as you Freak... xBackup seems like a waste of money now. And like you say it will happen all over again with 6.x.Thankfully this is happening while 501 is still being signed... phew!

This is my second time restoring to factory. First was when the CLI jailbreak went bad. Now xBackup restore... This time I'm gonna go real slow like and do everything manually.

Do you know of any way to find out what packages / tweaks etc you have paid for / had installed? i.e. I want a list that I can go through 1 by 1 and check before I install.
