Would a laptop with USB 3.0 have a faster sync?

I was wondering if I upgraded my laptop to one with USB 3 if my iPad syncs would be faster than my current USB 2? I suspect it wouldnt make a difference.

You need USB 3.0 on both sides, sending and receiving. The iPad doesn't have a USB 3.0. Or, at least I'm not aware of it.

No will not make any diffence to sync times but if you buy a backup drive and have lots of data it will be much much faster. The fact you, have upgraded to a new laptop with USB 3 alone will speed up the sync time
