1. Due to the recent site upgrade, the iPadForums (iPF) App will no longer work. The new iPadForums.net website has been designed from the ground up to work perfectly from any mobile, tablet, or desktop computer using the built in internet browser. First post here, not an Apple-anything owner.

I am a PC user (I love to tinker with them). I am wondering, will the iPad be able to connect with my home network through my wireless-n router and access my data storage of 10,000+ photos, 10,000+ mp3's, and 400+ HD movies?

I read where the iPad will connect to my wireless-n router, but I am wondering about the networking with windows 7 and xp.

I use a Drobo with 5TB of storage. This iPad thingy would be the first Apple product I'd consider buying (thats right, no macbooks, iphones or ipods in this house).

Welcome to the forum! I haven't heard or read how the iPad will be able to do this, but I would imagine (and hope) they would include some type of file browser.

Apple Insider just posted this though:
