I have noticed that wifi reception is weaker on my ipad mini than my macbook pro when they are placed next to each other - is this right does anybody know?

I found exactly the same. We also have a Kindle Fire too and that has a much better wifi reception than the ipad mini... it's frustrating. I've tried all the advice I found online to improve the wifi but it's still no better so I just live with it. The mini regularly flicks between wifi and 3G connection at home - not ideal.
