The wife updated my jailbroken iPad 2 via wi-fi to to the latest IOS, now the iPad shows plug into itunes and when I do it's in recovery mode and wants to force me to (Restore & Update)!!

I DON'T have anything synced or backed up!!

Is there something I can do??

I have not completed the updated from a PC.

I really hope someone can help with this as it is very important I have a lot of family photos and other stuff that I stupidly didn't backup or sync.

Awaiting someones advice.

Regards,

This tutorial will enable you to get your iPad back to operational condition, as long as you follow every step exactly as written. http://www.ipadforums.net/jailbreak...lsafe-method-restore-current-version-ios.html

Now for the bad news. Unfortunately, you're going to lose everything on your iPad. The tutorial will give you a factory restore on your iPad. Normally you would use a backup to set up the iPad and restore all photos, etc. since you don't have a backup, you will not be able to recover the lost items. Anything bought from iTunes or the AppStore can be downloaded again from your purchased history.

Please don't tell me that :(

How come all the info has gone if the update did not complete?
Shouldn't the stuff be somewhere still on the ipad?

Is your phone operational, or is it stuck in the middle of the incomplete update and restore?

it's stuck in rcovery mode.
The wife clicked on update from the settings, then it must have downloaded the ios and got to a stage where it said connect to itunes, she wasn't watching what it was doing so don't know what steps the ipad went through to get to the revovery/connect to itunes prompt.
