Personally I'm happy with Pages but it's surprising how passionate people get about their choice of word processor.

I was looking at the new Word2011 this morning and the plethora of ribbons and icons just made my eyes glaze over. Plus it takes up so much screen space. All I want is to get my ideas down quickly not run a publishing house.
Small is definitely beautiful in my book.....

The passion stems from frustration. Nothing worse than working on a document for hours, saving it, sending it, and discovering that it looks like a 3 year old's drawing of a horse-rabbit-doggy when you open it in Word at the office.

With QuickOffice things still look odd on my iPad, but they don't lose formatting when I open them on my pc at work.
