Have the original iPad, 64g ... I had a few emails I was saving and now they re no longer in my "inbox" ... I did not delete them. How do I get them back? Where did they go?

Welcome to iPF! At a glance without more information it sounds like your e-mail carrier deleted them, or you deleted them via computer and internet. All e-mail sync functions go both ways, therefore if you sync to a gmail acct. for instance when you are in gmail on the web and delete a mail the sync will cause it to be deleted also in the iPad and vise versa
Hope this helps

Thank you for responding. Here's a bit more info ... My email carrier is cox communication. We have a desk top and I have an iPad. I haven't done any "syncing" lately or deleting from either the desk top or iPad. Will they get automatically deleted for any reason? The only deleting I did was "junk" mail from my inbox on the iPad only. Is it possible to get them back? Thank you for any advice :)

Check the settings for your individual iPad email accounts and see whether you have incoming mail set to auto delete after a certain number of days.

Go to the iPad settings, and into mail, click on the email address you're having problems with. Now see if there is a "Days to Sync" option at the bottom. Default is set to 3 days, but you can set it to "no limit". This was the problem with mine, hopefully it fixes yours.
