Whats with all the apps

Downloaded the new iOS a few weeks ago and now when my apps update it just sits there. I went by best buy and there display model was doing the same thing. I asked. They had no idea why. Can anyone tll me why this is happening?

I had a few like that, they were all bug fixes of some sort and updates to run with IOS5. They are not apps I needed and mostly games. I just deleted them and reinstalled, they are good now. Give that a try.

I just tried to download a couple of new apps and they keep saying waiting

Do you have a good Internet connection there? I've noticed that when I've moved away from my modem or there are a few of us on devices at the one time that it can hang waiting for a while. Also tap the app that is downloading this can start it again.
