I have seen a few speakers but I need the loudest I can get I don't want to waste my money on a Jambox Jawbone I got one and it was the worst speaker I ever purchased and cost like $300. Now I've blown those and need a better speaker that will impress everyone listening.

You can buy a bluetooth receiver for like $30 at Amazon and save the rest of your money on a nice amp and speaker.
I forget their names, it's something like Pass Labs and Thiel.

For ordinary listening ipad speakers are pretty good.

If you insist on BT speakers, look no further than Bose. You are not going to rattle the neighbour's windows, but for crisp, clear sound, IMO, they can't be beaten. HOWEVER, I was playing with a Samsung sound bar a couple of weeks ago. It has a wireless subwoofer. Didn't get the model number. That thing could really bash it out. I was in BestBuy while I was playing with it, so it should be even better in a smaller room. That was $350, I believe.

Sound is awesome. I got it to use in my truck and the wife's car when we take trips, as both are old enough not to have Bluetooth radioes. It is small enough to sit on dash, or pull out ashtray. Lately I have been carrying it to work as it fits in my briefcase. It's about 8" log 1.5"high and 2" deep. It has it's own power docking station, or can plug into 12 v, and with a 3.5mm double ended audio cable can connect directly to my ipod, although I prefer the Bluetooth to keep wires to a minimum.

here are two options to consider:
- Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay A2
- Sonos 5

I have the A2. the sound from it is spectacular and I have no problems recommending it. If you do buy this, get the one that offers the USB charging feature. I have the one with the AC adapter as the only charging option, which is a bit limiting.

I have no experience with the Sonos 5, but it's popping up everywhere in tech news at the new standard to beat. it's also a bit more affordable then the A2, but I would recommend you go to audio stores where you can hear them. make sure you have some of your fav songs on your phone when you go so you can pair it to the speaker and hear the songs.
