I've been using Atomic Web Browser for a solid two years now. I've never had any problems with it and it's customized to my exact preferences.:)

Same here - usually just use Safari - also have Atomic Web & Maxthon on my iPad but don't use the latter two much, so cannot give you any pointers. :)

Have tried several and always end up back on Safari! I do use Atomic Web Browser on my ipad mini sometimes as I can increase the font more easily on my favourite sites.

I've been using Mercury. I like its gesture-based navigation options, its flexibility, and its features. It offers limited adblocking, too.

Unfortunately, there's no way to designate anything but Safari as the default browser without jailbreaking.

Safari, use Chrome a bit and just installed one called AdBlock. It seems to do really well blocking ads.

I alternate among Safari, Atomic, Dolphin, Opera, Terra, SplitScreen, Side by Side and NightOwl.

I suggest you try various browsers and see what works best for you, even if there are ones you already like in Android, because they're not identical across platforms.

I use the different browsers for various reasons. For instance, Terra lets you set a pass code, so that no one can use it without that code. That way, no one can accidentally delete or otherwise muck up your bookmarks (or if you want privacy if you share your iPad).

The SplitScreen and Side by Side ones let you divide your screen among more than one Web page.

NightOwl lets you drop down brightness way low, in case you want to browse in dark settings.

And so on. It's great to have lots of choices and flexibility.
