So weird, because just a few weeks ago you had snow!

I still have snow! This small dirty pile is the last of the snow in my yard.

image-2553639732.jpg It's all that is left of a pile almost 6' high.

My husband are having a laugh because he bought this odd device that's supposed to mimic a TV's flashing screen, when seen from outside your house. It's meant for people to set up when they're away from home, to make robbers think someone's home and watching TV, and he's setting it up at our second home. But it looks more like a cheesy disco light, IMO. I joked that we should set a cover charge and two-drink minimum.

Love it. You remind me of the tinted screens you could fix over the screen of a B&W TV to convert it to a colour TV! :)

We use timer switches for 2 lamps when we are away on holiday.

Seriously, isn't it worth investigating remote control of lights and TV via your iPad or computer?

We already have lights and radio on a timer. I have no idea why he thought we'd need fake TV, too. He's a guy. I leave it at that sometimes. Lol. He doesn't ask why I "need" yet another pair of black pumps. Don't sweat the small stuff -- at least that's worked for us for more than 20 good years.

I've just posted on the iNgenious thread about a news story re wearers of pace makers who own iPads.

I'm not sure about the accuracy of the report, but......

Thanks, Skimonkey. I've just read your comment. The report in our paper was brief, and didn't mention the research behind the findings.

This time I'm just going to enjoy not going to work for two weeks.:)

Enjoy your vacation, scifan! Looks to be a good time to take it with spring and oncoming summer in Canada. Seems certainly a well-deserved break from work.
