want to change pc name of former owner of my ipad

Hi, I have bought a second hand iPad but cannot connect to iTunes. The iPad is looking cor the former owner computer...
How do change please. Thanks

If it is new to you, then I suggest you do a total reset to wipe all of the previous owners settings, info and files, and then set it up new for you. You might want to back up your current iPad and restore that back up to your new one..then you can remove whatever you dont' want on the second one. One good reason to do this is so all of your folders and setting will remain in tact from the first iPad to the second. This can be a big time saver. Be sure to do an encypted back up, so all of your passwords etc are saved in the backup. You will need to password to restore.

To wipe:

Settings => General => Reset => Erase All Content and Settings

Thanks.i just did the resetting.now I want to connect to iTunes but its failing. I do have itunes6, is that ok for iPad? I live in southern Africa, the country name Malawi is not even on list and WiFi is not so common here, but I want to put my iTunes stuff on the iPad...ideas?

Which iPad do you have? Did you check your sync cable? What do you mean by iTunes is failing? Does it see your first iPad? Are you running Windows or MAC? Just pick the country closest to your time zone. You don't need wifi but it helps if at least your PC is connected to the internet.

Ipad is showing 5.1.1 on its back. when i connect my ipad to my computer (windows Vista) its showing that its there.. When i open Itunes its not showing the Ipad..., thats what i mean with Itunes is failing.
So after resetting Ipad asks you to configure. It then stops with the now coinnect to Itunes. I do connect to my computer, but itunes is not recognizing or finding/ my ipad. Its Itunes 6.

One cause of iTunes failing to see an iPad is when you connect through a USB hub. Make sure you use a USB socket on the computer.

i did read new ipad introduction first and tried to 'search' first but no matches found.....anyway, i will first upgrade its just that where i live downloading is not easy, but the ones who really wants, i will keep on trying and get newer Itunes downloaded one day or another done....

Itunes 6 is a very old version, and dates back to before the ipad launch so probably doesn't support it. Download the latest version of itunes 11: Apple - iTunes - Download iTunes Now

And i can copy and paste, and ven learnbed how to convert some video's into Ipad/mp4 files.. and its working (with Handbrake software,0 reloaly appreciate all your advises, super!!
