VIP email

Hi All:
I am sure this has been covered, but when using and setting up email VIP, should my incoming emails appear in BOTH regular inbox and VIP inbox? If so, I don't see the point of the VIP inbox. Thoughts from you are greatly appreciated.

I just checked it and they do appear in both inboxes.


I can receive hundreds of emails on three different accounts, so being able to separate some of them looks like a good idea to me.

It duplicates. But the VIP mailbox flags important or special contacts as VIPs. I receive several hundred pieces of email a day and don't sort through it until I've got some spare time. This way if something important comes in the Notification Center will pop up and I'll know to look at that email.
