    I'm looking for a video editing app that will imports multiple pics & video from the video/picture gallery.

    For the iPad 2 you can get iMovie for $5.
    For both the iPad 1 and iPad 2 you can get ReelDirector for $3 (I think) and it will do what you want.

    I recommend both of these, but for the price ReelDirector is a steal for what you can do.

    For a Win/OSX machine, there are tons, but both come with editors already. Win has MovieMaker and OSX has iMovie. However I think the OP was asking about iPad apps, not Win/OSX apps.
