MacRumors reports today on a number of photographs and videos that have surfaced from a variety of sources purporting to show cases for the iPad 2, which have been manufactured in China based on physical specs for a prototype of the iPad 2. The cases all have openings in their top-left corner, indicating the presence of a rear-facing camera. The case also has a gap on the side where the mute switch and volume button exists on the current iPad. The two gaps at the bottom of the case would appear to be for the dock connector and the speaker, although the hole where you’d expect the speaker to go seems larger than necessary for the current speaker's size. MacRumors speculates that it’s possible that the larger opening at the bottom could also be for an SD Card slot, as this is mentioned in the translated description of the case.
Pictures of different cases from different websites appear to be coming in thick and fast now, with MacRumors continuously updating their info, so be sure to click on the link below to see the latest pictures.
