Verizon iPad2??? Not activated at store but was a gift??? NOW WHAT?

    Inlaws spent a fortune and bought 10 ipad2's for Christmas.Three were for my family. Bought at Verizon. Only one (mine) was able to make it through activation process on itunes. Other two say the apple deivice cannot be used because Apple Mobile Device service is not started. What does this mean to me? We have service with ATT (iphones) and will not switch carriers ever. We are happy with them. However, why is one working, and the other two not? I input our wireless key and hopped onto our home network just fine, with the one, and then I get that message with the other two. their screens show the cord and says itunes in the little blue circle with the musical note. Do I need to set up an account with Verizon, or what?? Help??

    I've run into this problem a couple of times, not in the registration process but after updating iTunes. Try the following. First, reboot the computer. If that doesn't solve the problem, open the processes running on the PC and kill the running apple-related service. That should clear the problem.
