Using the iPad 2 as a satnav for the first time on Sunday

I am still up in Scotland so have been using the iPad 2 as a sat nav quite frequently by leaning it against the dash, behind the steering column. I will scratchbuild a proper fitting when I get home to London, next week.
Loving the larger screen.
The windscreen iPad holder I bought, is totally useless.
