1. Due to the recent site upgrade, the iPadForums (iPF) App will no longer work. The new iPadForums.net website has been designed from the ground up to work perfectly from any mobile, tablet, or desktop computer using the built in internet browser. I am tasked to research a posibility to connect iPAD to our electronic devices. There are microcontrollers and flash memory inside these devices. We have applications to communicate with these devices on Windows to upload device setup and download audit data. Has anyone done this type of work before?

I understand it is possible to this on Android because there USB control function on Android development package.

    Any comments are welcome.

Do you have the iPad SDK? You can download this from the Apple iOS development site and there's a lot of documentation there that will tell you precisely the functions that iOS offers via the iPad 'USB interface'. On the iTunes store in iTunesU there are free video lecture courses on how to develop iPad apps too, so that's a great resource if you're just starting to develop iPad apps.
