When I went to Safari yesterday a note came up suggesting I upgrade to ver. 5.0. The last time I did an upgrade I lost all my books and music and had to download them again.

How can I upgrade to v. 5 without loosing the books and music?

My understanding is that if you upgrade using the computer where you keep your books, music, etc., you should be fine. It worked that way for me. You shouldn't have to download anything over again; though you will have to drag-and-drop music, movies, etc. back onto the iPad.

You simply give the instruction to upgrade your browser not all things related to this. But if you have some bookmark in the browser then you will loss them because when browser get upgrade it does upgrade all things which are come in browser.
