Updated itunes and iPad - now won't connect to computer

    I Have just updated both itunes and my iPad and now my iPad won't connect to itunes on the computer. It went to the back up stage but no apps were installed and now everytime I try to connect it it just drops out. I reinstalled itunes hoping that would fix the problem but it didn't. Has anyone got any suggestions please.

    I have just fixed the problem by not restoring from my old backup but reverting it back to factory settings. Caused me a sleepless night but at least it is fixed.
