Untether 2 iPads

When I got my iPad 3 I uploaded the contents of my iPad 2 from iCloud. I gave my iPad 2 to my son. Now every time he downloads an app on his iPad it appears on mine and vice versa. How can I stop this without risking either of losing the contents on our iPads? Any assistance on this would be really appreciated.

You may, it's probably my favourite app (after IPF of course), it's called Skitch.
