Hi

Since upgrading to IOS 5, I am unable to make a purchase from iTunes via my iPad. I click the [Buy] button and nothing happens, no prompt for my password and no download :-(

Help please.

That is odd behavior!

So, the first thing to try any time the iPad goes all wonky is to do either a restart or a reset (or both!). To do:

Restart: Hold down the power button until the power off slider appears. Slide it off. When the iPad finishes shutting down, hold down the power button again until the Apple logo appears.

Reset: Hold both the power and home buttons until the screen goes dark and the Apple logo then appears (the slide to unlock screen may or may not appear). Once the logo appears, release the buttons. After a time, your homescreen will appear. Please note that it may take some time for the Apple logo to appear or for your homescreen to appear (or both). This is normal. Eventually, the homescreen will appear.

You'd be amazed at how often that works. If you're not amazed and it didn't work, let us know and we'll try to figure something else out. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice. I tried both and it didn't make a difference.

Any further thoughts ?

TBH, I got nuthin'! That was my one shot...

Oh, wait - what if you sign out of the store (on your iPad), reset it and then try logging in again? Maybe that's one way to try again... That's what I would try if it was my iPad.

If not, let us know and maybe someone else will be along to help. And - if we can't help, I guarantee that if you take it to an Apple store, they'll figure it out (mainly cause if you can't buy apps - they don't make money! :D).

Sorry I'm not more help.
