I send lengthy e-mails how can I get the text to scroll up while typing the e-mail? When the length of the e mail reaches the top of the keyboard I can't see what I am typing.

I can't move the keyboard I would have nothing to type on. Maybe I woke up stupid this morning.

This is not normal behavior - the text should scroll up as you type.

Have you checked to make sure that your keyboard is docked? When it's not docked, the text won't scroll properly. To check, press and hold the lower rightmost key (the one with a keyboard icon on it); a pop-up should appear. If it says "Dock" as one of the options - you'll want to press that line to dock the keyboard.

If it already says its docked (the pop-up will read "Undock") - then maybe a restart or a reset of the iPad is in order (along with fully closing the Mail app). To do (apologies if you know):

Fully Close an App: Double tap the Home button (or do a 4-finger swipe up) to reveal a row of icons in the multi-tasking bar. Press and hold an icon until they all start to wiggle and you see a red circle with a minus sign ("-") in the top left. Press the minus sign to fully close the app. Don't worry, it won't remove the app from your iPad, just from the iPad's resident memory.

Then...
Restart: Hold down the power button until the power off slider appears. Slide it off. When the iPad finishes shutting down, hold down the power button again until the Apple logo appears.

If that doesn't help, try this last step...

Reset: Hold both the power and home buttons until the screen goes dark and the Apple logo then appears (the slide to unlock screen may or may not appear). Once the logo appears, release the buttons. After a time, your homescreen will appear. Please note that it may take some time for the Apple logo to appear or for your homescreen to appear (or both). This is normal. Eventually, the homescreen will appear.

Hope some of that helps. If not, holler back and we'll take another shot at it.

Hey thanks a lot your suggestion worked just fine. I am working in Shanghai China in the US I could get in my car and run quickly to a near by Apple store. There are only two "official " Apple store in Shanghai and they are packed. 24 million people in Shanghai!

Glad I found this form, thank you again.
