Twitter has today announced a new feature that will enable users to create their own mini polls on Twitter. Here’s the official Twitter blog describing the new feature:

While Twitter has previously enabled users to participate in polls by tweeting questions and tracking replies, counting hashtag votes, or simply asking for favouriting or retweeting of tweets to answer a specific question, users can now create two-choice polls directly from their compose box, with the poll remaining live for 24 hours. Users can vote on any poll, and how they voted will not be visible publicly.

Twitter is rolling out the feature over the next few days; as soon as you see the poll icon in the compose box, you’ll be able to start creating your own polls.
