Trouble updating apps

    I recently am having a new problem. Apps are not updating. I have cleaned out the number of open apps, but I still have the problem. This is an iPad 3. Any suggestions?

    Hi there! Welcome to iPF!

    You could restart your iPad (turn it off and on again), or reboot it (press and hold home button and power button at the same time until the Apple logo appears).

    Sometimes changing the date on your iPad may help, although it sounds weird.
    If all this doesn't work, sign out of the App Store in App Store - Featured; tap your Apple ID there and sign out, then sign in again.
    Another possibility would be to set your iPad to Airplane mode, then turn off Airplane mode again.

    And just to make sure: is your version of iOS up to date? It should be 6.1.3.

    What should work, if nothing suggested before helps: update the apps in iTunes on your computer, then sync them to your iPad.

    Are you connected via wi-fi? If not, when you are in a location where you can access wi-fi, try going into "settings" and switch to wi-fi, an then access App Store and try updating. It worked for me. Good luck.

    If none of the above work
    Did you by any chance download anything from the iTunes app at the same time? Have a look and see if you have any downloads pending....if so swipe it to bring up the Delete tab and Delete. Your apps should then update by tapping them to get them going again. Hope it helps.
