Hi. I am a PC user and I am considering buying an iPad 2 mainly for business use.

Can I transfer information such as emails in outlook, excel files and calendar details to the iPad.

    Many thanks for any suggestions.

    Yes is the simple answer!

You can set your email up in the mail app that comes preinstalled.

If you use a calendar for business purposes I would suggest Smart Pad or Pocket Informant apps.

For excel, there are various options which you will discover by searching on these threads however, there may be difficulty if you use heavily formatted spreadsheets.

    Transfer your files

You can definitely transfer all your files quite easily using Dropbox.
