Touchpad not calibrated?

Not sure what the terminology would be, but I'm having problems with my iPad since upgrading to iOS 5. Trying to fill in online forms, or do my online banking, I can't touch inside a field to edit it, I "miss" the field. A touch on the desired form field highlights an area an inch or so above the desired spot on the form? I physically can't hit the "submit" button for my online banking, it's like the screen registration is WAY off. What gives?

Have you tried to reboot your iPad by turning it off, then pressing and holding the Power and Home buttons for 6-9 seconds until the white Apple logo appears? There is no calibration facility for the touch screen, otherwise.
