Hi, Everyone.
I'm an Apple newbie, and I'm enjoying my iPad2. I'm fascinated by how much the iPad makes me want my next real computer to be a Mac.

I have found a lot of the iPad's controls to be fairly intuitive, but I really chafe at the ipad Safari. I'm used to Chrome, which usually lets me find my commonly-used websites with a keystroke or two, and makes its history effortless to use.

I'm almost retired from a career as a software developer, and I'm now writing novels. You can find out more about me at:
my blog: search for: precision blogging
my novel's website: ravensgift

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

Safari has a 'History' and a 'Favourites' bar too and you can save very frequently used websites as icons on your Home page.

Hope to hear from you soon with your thoughts about the iPad.

Have fun and enjoy your iPad

If you don’t already have it you can download a copy of the iPad manual for free.
