Can you post a new post or answer a thread from the iPad app? Because I can't see how you can so if someone can advice me what to do if you can post directly from the iPad desktop can they please let me know how

When on the app on the top right hand corner you will see a box with an arrow emerging, press this, press reply to thread and you're good to go.
If you want to reply to a particular member, you will see a blue arrow above their post to the right, press this then quote and it will quote what they have said and you type your reply under this. Here you will also see the edit button in case you want to edit something you've posted. Hope this helps. Enjoy!!

But before any of that works, you need to log in with the app.

If you have not, you should find a blue login button at the bottom of the Forums tab. If you are logged in, it won't be there. If you need to logout for some reason, that option is in the Profile tab.

It is kind of fun, isn't it? Makes me 'almost' ashamed to point out that you could have just posted a link to Rich's thread on the same subject. <evil chuckle>
