This syncs!!

    Downloaded the latest iTunes and now neither my iPad or iphone will sync. Plugging them in brings up 'can't use this iPad because software not installed. Uinstall iTunes and then reinstall' did that despite being scared I'd lose all my libraries but still oes the same thing. What the? Using a Dell m1210 laptop with windows xp.

    That really "StYNCs"
    Sounds like there is no match with the user/password of your iPad and your iTune. They must be the same.

    Do you mean the iTunes password should be put in the iPad somewhere? Usually it just ask me fr it when I download something.

    They both need to be be on the same Apple account.

    Yeah, they were all on the same apple account. The new version of itunes that I downloaded yesterday seems to have fixed the problem. Cheers.
