the secret of monkey island special edition

How do you bring up the hints it says to place 3 fingers on the screen at the same time but it doesn't work and your suppose to be able to change from the classic to special edition but I can not for the life of me find out how to change it.

Not sure where it says that, its 2 finger swipe to change to classic

It tells you to place 3 fingers on the screen in the how to play section under options on page 6.
