Unfortunately, no, there is no way to change the default browser on a stock iPad. You have to use Safari.
If you jail break your iPad, you can download a tweak from Cydia (the jail breaker's "app store") that will allow you to set a new default browser.
But, again, this is not possible with a stock iPad. Sorry.
