Imangi Studios has today announced that Temple Run is officially one year old today. The free game has been downloaded more than 100 million times, with over 68 million of those downloads being on iOS devices. Gameplay couldn’t be simpler, as players are challenged to test their reflexes as they race down ancient temple walls and along sheer cliffs to collect coins, all the while jumping, running, and sliding to escape the evil denizens of the temple, and avoiding the many, many obstacles.

More than 10 billion Temple Run sessions have been played since August 2011, making a combined time of 54,000 years spent playing the game, with a staggering 13% of the US population having downloaded Temple Run. In order to celebrate this staggering success, Imangi Studios is offering all of its mobile titles released prior to Temple Run for free for a limited time. The game has also had an update, adding Retina display graphics for the iPad, as well as more achievements and the ability to enable or disable specific powerups.
