Sync between Chrome on iPad and Chrome on other computer

Does anyone know how often the automatic sync is being done? is it possible to enforce a sync manually? What do I do when both Chromes don'tseem to sync ?

Are you logged in?
Did you activate the synchronization (Has to be done on another than iOS machine)?

I activated the Google sync on my Windows PC. So far it is not clear to me how often Google on my PC syncs with the Google browser on my iPad. Can one enforce the sync manually ?
