Stumped over Sim Card Removal

OK, I give up. I am trying to get the sim card holder out of my 64gb, 3g IPad 1. All the help areas show a tool and a hole to poke it in. I have NO hole to use a tool with! The whole holder springs down and back up a small fraction of an inch like there is some sort of catch, but it does not release. What is the secret to this type sim card holder?

OK, disregard my post. My IPad was in its case, covering up the Sim Card carrier, I was about to drill a hole in what I thought was the carrier, my daughter pointed out that what I was trying to get out - was the volume control! My sim card is just like all the rest, easy out.
